Adolescent Partial Care (SAIL - Shore Adolescent Independent Living)
Shore Adolescent Independent Living (SAIL) is a partial care program for children and adolescents whose impaired emotional, social, academic and/or behavioral functioning places them at serious risk of institutionalization or out of home placement, and who with the proper day treatment, are able to appropriately remain in the community. In addition, SAIL serves youth who are transitioning back to the community from residential placement.
The program is designed to maximize the consumer's independence, growth and emotional stability, increase his/her community living skills, strengthen the family unit, empower consumers to actively participate in treatment and determine personal goals, affirm the consumer's strengths and abilities, and foster healthy interdependence in relationships with significant others.
