Substance Abuse Evaluations are provided to individuals with chemical involvement. Substance Abuse Services accepts referrals from Insurance companies, Criminal Justice, Schools, Child Protective Services, Employee Assistance Programs, and self-referrals.
Adult Services
Outpatient Counseling (Level I): Individual, Group, Family and Couples Counseling.
Intensive Outpatient (Level II.I): 6-8 week Group and Individual Substance Abuse Counseling. This program is for those who require a structured, intense level of care, We offer dual diagnosed capable services. Treatment is based on an individualized recovery plan.
Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Partial Care Program - Formerly DARE (Level II.5): The Co-Occurring Program provides comprehensive services from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily, to consumers who have concurrent alcohol and/or drug dependency, as well as, psychiatric issues. The staff is cross trained to meet the specialized needs of consumers with co-occurring disorders. This program provides transportation, lunch, vocational services and case management to the consumers they serve..
Specialized Women’s Services: WARN PROGRAM (Women Achieving Recovery Now): This program gives priority to women who are referred from Child Welfare. Substance Abuse Services offer women a unique setting to participate in Substance Abuse treatment, parenting issues and vocational services. This program has flexible hours and provides enhanced services to include Psychiatric Evaluation, if needed, and eliminates barriers such as transportation.
Specialized Men’s Services: MISTR (Men In Support Towards Recovery) (Level I, Level II.I): This program gives priority to men who are referred from Child Welfare. Substance Abuse Services offers specialized services to participate in Substance Abuse treatment, parent coaching, relapse prevention, daily living skills, educational and vocational referral counseling to men with drug and/or alcohol involvement. Transportation is also available.
Specialized Parole Services (Level I, II.I, II.5): Assessments and substance abuse treatment services for eligible parolees.
Drug Court Initiative (Level I, II.I, II.5): Preferred Substance Abuse Servcies provides men and women treatment in a setting with other Drug Court Participants. Substance Abuse Services offers Drug Court Clients individual and group counseling, vocational services and transportation.
Work First New Jersey Substance Abuse Initiative (WFNJ-SAI): Clinical case managers assess consumers for alcohol or drug dependency and develop individualized treatment plans. Treatment plans become the consumers required work activity that must be maintained in order to remain compliant with the WFNJ Program.
South Jersey Initiative (SJI): Ocean County Site for Level I, II.I: The SJI is a continuum of substance abuse treatment targeted to indigent individuals between the ages of 13 and 24 (if funding is available).
Intoxicated Driver Resource Program (IDRC): The intoxicated Driver Resource Center program serves those individuals who have received a DWI arrest. Evaluations and referral to appropriate level of care as needed. (Lakewood, Jackson and Barnegat - evening program, Brick - morning program).
Intensive Supervision Program (ISP): Substance Abuse and Mental Health evaluations for parolees who are supervised under the ISP.
Federal Probation (Level I, II.I, II.5): Substance Abuse and Mental Health services to Federal offenders and their families.
Strengthening Families Program (SFP): Comprehensive 14-week evidence based parenting program for families affected by substance abuse. This program is in collaboration with St. Barnabas Institute for Prevention.
Pharmacotherapy (Lakewood/Barnegat only): The goal of this program is to safely suppress opiate withdrawal symptoms through medically supervised induction and/or maintenance treatment utilizing Suboxone.
Suboxone: Our outpatient medicated assistant recovery program offers personalized and comfortable detoxification and maintenance treatment. Our program combines Suboxone and behavioral therapy to treat opiate addiction with minimal disruption to everyday activities.
Pharmacotherapy (Lakewood/Barnegat): The goal of this program is to safely suppress alcohol withdrawal symptoms through medically supervised injection and or maintenance treatment utilizing Vivitrol.
Vivitrol: Vivitrol is an injection medication used to treat alcohol use with adult populations. Vivitrol is most effective in conjunction with Substance Abuse Counseling. Vivitrol along with counseling has shown to reduce drinking episodes and abstain from alcohol consumption.
