Focuses on life skills for children in grades 2-3 through the use of puppetry, songs, and imaginative stories. Through interactive sessions, children learn how to handle challenging social situations among peers and within the family and are encouraged to make positive choices about alcohol and other drugs, which helps them to develop the desire to live a healthy life.
Includes: seven, one hour interactive classroom/group lessons (up to 25 students), one parent meeting, one teacher consultation and evaluation, informational packet, pre/post-test, evaluation summary, certifications of completion.
Learning objectives: Encourage youth to value themselves and how to make healthy choices; teach youth to resist pressures to use drugs; promote alternatives when dealing with problems.
