Addresses healthy decision-making for children, pre-school to grade 2. Using a variety of visuals and hands-on activities, this program introduces age-appropriate topics to help children make healthy choices and teaches about what kinds of problems can happen when unhealthy living is practiced. Each lesson challenges children to think and individually solve problems, offering healthy alternatives as needed. Includes: Eight one-hour interactive classroom/group lessons (up to 25 students), teacher consultation and evaluation, informational packet, parent handouts, evaluation summary, certificates of completion. Learning objectives: Identify different types of healthy choices; identify and learn to share feelings; learn the importance of decision-making; learn new skills to help problem-solve.
