This program addresses violence prevention as related to gang activity for students, grades 7 and 8. It emphasizes self-efficacy in problem-solving by providing significant practice in addressing issues and problems related to high-risk factors for gang involvement, crime, substance abuse and related problems.

Includes: Twelve one-hour interactive classroom/group sessions (up to 25 students), teacher consultation, program evaluation, informational packet, pre/posttest, evaluation summary, and certificates of completion.

Learning objectives: demonstrate competence in skills such as problem-solving and problem-avoidance; learn to cope effectively with the highest risk factors; practice how to manage different feelings; learn where to go for positive support and direction.
