This program focuses on the problem of bullying for students K – 5. It challenges children to reflect on the reasons why people bully and their role in stopping and preventing bullying behaviors. The curriculum supports the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program(R), a research-based, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention model program developed by Dr. Dan Olweus. The interactive presentation sessions engage children with storytelling, skill practice and hands-on activities. Lessons empower children with skills needed to stop the bullying behaviors that plague all schools and communities.

Learning objectives: Analyze the reasons why children bully; identify different types of bullying behavior; learn new skills to deal with bullying and prevent bullying behaviors.
