Addresses the problem of bullying in grades 6 to 8. Children are challenged to reflect on the reasons why people bully and what can be done to stop it. Discussions promote strategies to understand bullying behaviors and empower children with the skills needed to put an end to taunting and intimidation.
Includes: Four one-hour interactive classroom/group lessons, teacher consultation and evaluation, informational packet, pre/post survey, evaluation summary, certificates of completion.
Learning objectives: Analyze the reasons why young people bully; identify different types of bullying behavior; learn new skills to deal with bullying and prevent bullying behaviors.
