Counselor Aide – Part Time. Substance Use Services Program

Summary: The Counselor Aide is responsible for scheduling appointments, ordering supplies for the office, record keeping, and assisting with client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Presents consumer issues in a coherent manner that demonstrates judgment and technique;
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with consumers and staff;
  • Completes all documentation in a timely manner according to PBH policy;
  • To organize and make charts;
  • To status group attendance in Qualifacts;
  • To transport clients as instructed;
  • To upkeep vehicle and maintain transportation forms;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of policy and procedure of Substance Use Services;
  • Aide will have finger printing at their cost and complete a background check prior to hire;
  • Complete all designated essential learning courses;
  • Adhere to outlined work schedule
  • Employee must submit to drug and alcohol screening upon hire and if suspicion arises.
  • Employee must obtain a physical exam prior to employment.
  • Employee must submit to annual Mantoux/TB testing.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of addictions preferred
  • Completes all documentation in a timely manner according to PBHG policy

Qualifications:

  • Education High school diploma or equivalency.
  • License(s) Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
