Program Assistant – Healthy Families program-Full time

The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the mission of the Healthy Families staff and program in Toms River, NJ. This is a clerical position and applicant is expected to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent computer skills; professional appearance and telephone manner; demonstrate professional verbal/written skills, excellent organizational/interpersonal skills, and ability to function independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial support for Healthy Families including but not limited to:  ordering supplies, organize/maintain/file charts, distributing letters/copies as requested and various special projects – including typing, data entry, mailings, etc. as assigned by Director
  •  Oversight of Monthly Reports to PCA-NJ and assist with Quarterly, Semi-annual, and Annual Reports as required.  
  • Assist with the Healthy Families/TIP Ocean County Advisory Board meeting, Ocean County TIP Operational Meetings, Group events and Program Presentations.
  • Monitor and key data into FAMSYS and SPECT databases as instructed, that includes client information
  • Acts as a resource for new staff and supports the Healthy Families team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals who may not share basic commonality, (which can include various value/belief systems and/or behavioral norms)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED; Bilingual Spanish/English Preferred
