Preferred Behavioral Health of NJ, Inc. was established in 1978 to provide outpatient therapy and emergency mental health services to residents of Northern Ocean County, NJ. Since then, we have expanded to become a 501(c)3 comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider, offering a full array of services in central New Jersey. These include both mental health and substance abuse programs for individuals of all ages.
Preferred Behavioral Health of NJ is licensed in both mental health and addiction services by the New Jersey Department of Human Services. We receive funding from the State of NJ, the County of Ocean and the United Way. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances, and a sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance.
Preferred Behavioral Health of NJ was selected as Outstanding Provider of the Year by the New Jersey Association for Mental Health and Addictions Agencies (NJAMHAA) for 2012.
