Preferred Behavioral Health of NJ, Inc. was established in 1978 to provide outpatient therapy and emergency mental health services to residents of Northern Ocean County, NJ. Since then, we have expanded to become a comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider, offering a full array of services. These include both mental health and substance abuse programs for individuals of all ages.

Preferred Behavioral Health is licensed in mental health and addiction services by the New Jersey Department of Human Services. We receive funding from the State of NJ, the County of Ocean and the United Way. We offer a sliding fee scale and accept Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances.
