WARN: Women Achieving Recovery Now

What is WARN: Women Achieving Recovery Now?

Recovery is not a journey you have to walk alone. At Preferred Behavioral Health Group, we understand that women face unique pressures, traumas, and responsibilities that generic treatment programs often overlook.

WARN (Women Achieving Recovery Now) is more than a treatment program—it is a sisterhood. We provide a specialized, gender-specific environment where women in Ocean and Monmouth County can heal from substance use and trauma in a space defined by safety, understanding, and mutual empowerment.

A Safe Space for Healing: The "Sisterhood" Approach

For many women, true vulnerability is impossible in a co-ed environment. Whether due to past domestic violence, relationship trauma, or societal pressure, the presence of men can sometimes hinder the healing process.

Our women’s addiction recovery program in NJ offers a sanctuary where you can speak your truth without judgment.

  • The Schedule: The program runs 3 days a week, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., allowing you to prioritize your recovery while maintaining family or work obligations.
  • The Environment: We foster a nurturing, non-judgmental atmosphere. Here, you are free to discuss body image, parenting guilt, and relationship dynamics safely.
  • The Community: You will recover alongside other women who understand your story because they are living similar chapters. This peer support creates a powerful “sisterhood” that lasts long after treatment ends.

Addressing Women’s Unique Challenges

Addiction rarely exists in a vacuum. It is often tied to the stressors of motherhood, relationships, and self-worth. Our curriculum is tailored specifically to address these complexities.

We move beyond standard addiction education to cover the topics that matter most to you:

Trauma-Informed Clinical Care

We recognize that for many women, substance use is a response to deep-seated pain. You cannot treat the addiction without treating the wound.

Our clinical team is extensively trained in Trauma-Informed Care. We understand the link between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), PTSD, and substance use disorders.

“At PBHG, we understand that for many women, substance use is a coping mechanism for deep-seated trauma. Our WARN program utilizes a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that every therapy session and interaction is designed to prevent re-traumatization while empowering you to heal the root causes of addiction.”

This means our therapy is not just about stopping use; it is about safety, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
